For Sale - Neu 1910/1Y

I have a Neu 1910/1Y (fanned version, but not heli) that I have been using in my Logo 10 since August 2006. It always performed flawlessly on 6S lipos and had so much power that full-pitch punch outs with 13 degrees pitch would consistently strip the maingear! It really is that powerful!

I'm selling it because my Logo 10 has been retired and replaced by a Logo 500 and I'm parting it out to try and fund a smaller heli.

The motor has a small flat-spot ground on the shaft for a pinion.

I paid US$180 for it.
This amazing motor can be yours for only US$100 via paypal shipped, anywhere in the world.

Over-discharge.

Last Sunday, I gave my little brother a big lecture about timing his flights and the 80% rule, and all the other stuff one needs to do to protect ones investment in LiPos. Then I went out and flew the same pack twice. That's right, I pulled the pack out of the machine after the first flight and then must have gotten distracted or confused and put it straight back in again!

In my defence, there was a lot of shuffling machines in and out of the car to avoid bouts of rain.

How I know this is that when I got home I put my 6S packs on the charger and discovered that one of them was sitting at 25.18V (ie was fully charged) and the other was 20V. This explains what I thought was a thermal shutdown on my Logo 500 as actually being a low power cutoff. Thanks to my Jazz for stopping me from puffing a pack I can't really afford to replace right now.

South Auckland Fun-fly at Tuakau.

Today was the first time I have managed to get away and fly my helis in weeks. I took my little brother to his first ever fun-fly, and despite the periodic rain-storms, I'm pretty sure he had a good time. He hovered his T-Rex 450 on his first try, so I'm pretty impressed - all that sim time seems to have paid off. I did it the hard way, and it took me a very long time to get the hang of it!

My V-Bar troubles seem to be over, thanks to the generous help of MrMel. My Logo 600 flies like a dream, it's just so locked in and goes exactly where you put it. The Logo 500 also flies great, it's set up much more aggressively than the 600 and just zips around the sky. Only downside is that it gets through it's 3700mAh 6S packs in only about four and a half minutes, vs the 600's nine minutes. I believe that three minutes into my second flight with the 500 I had a thermal shutdown on the Jazz ESC however, and it was a very cold day. Something I need to investigate.

That's all for how. Here's a hastily-shot video of my Logo 600 in flight.
